We don’t often think about it, but our feet play a very important role in our overall well-being and health. The feet lay the foundation for our entire body, carrying our weight and providing support for our posture and balance. If you do have foot problems, such as neuromas or plantar fasciitis, your knees, hips, legs and back all may suffer in pain due to these issues. It may not be apparent, but your pain elsewhere may be due to issues in your feet. Dr. Lambert, a Ronkonkoma Chiropractor has treated many patients suffering from foot problems that stem from spinal issues.

Often times patients complaining of back pain do not respond to typical treatments. It is at this point when alternative causes of the back pain are researched and suggested. Sometimes back pain can be caused by issues in the feet. This, however, can be treated effectively through custom orthotics. Orthotics help to correct and ensure the correct positioning of bones in the feet, ankles and even the knees. They provide many benefits to patients, including:

  • Enhanced foot support

  • Comfort

  • Reduction in pain

  • Corrected pronation and supination

  • Enhanced athletic performance

Custom foot orthotics can help a wide variety of people, including:

  • Diabetics

  • Foot pain sufferers

  • Knee pain sufferers

  • Back pain sufferers

  • People suffering from arthritis

  • Athletes and runners, specifically

Are you suffering from back pain? Do you think your posture is bad? Are other treatments not alleviating your symptoms? It may be time to consider custom orthotics as an alternative. Your back pain may be caused by issues in your feet and orthotics may be able to correct that. For more information on the benefits of orthotics and if you may need them, call your Ronkonkoma Chiropractor, Dr. Lambert,  to schedule an appointment at 631-738-9539. We can help you reduce your pain, improve your spinal health and feel better!
